Magnolia soulangiana 'Black Tulip'

Common Name: Black Magnolia

This decidious small tree with large green leaves that fall in autumn. It produces a knock-out dark purple goblet shaped flowers in spring. These appear before the leaves in late winter/spring and are a great contrast against the dark branches. The foliage is green and
glossy appearing after the flowers

Uses:

Its beautiful flower will make it a favourite in the garden. It can be planted singularly or in a row both in parks and landscapes

Position:

This magnolia prefers a moist, deep soil in a full sun position for best growth and flowers. It can tolerate a wide range of soils.
