Acmena smithii ‘Red Head’
A large shrub/small tree offering dense foliage making it ideal for screening. Beautiful colour displays in the foliage with new growth being a deep red. Clusters of small white flowers are followed by edible bright purple berries in Ocotber -December. Fire retardant, cold tolerant, psyllid resistant and has low water requirements.
Uses:
An excellent screening and hedging variety which responds well to pruning and shaping.
Position:
Plant in a well draining soil and fertilize regularly for optimal results.
Care:
The dense foliage can be pruned down to 1.5m in height.
Planting:
Recommended for planting in March-November.
