Description:

A small tree or bushy shrub with bright green, lance shaped, leathery leaves. This Australian native plant is almost completely covered with strongly scented, bright yellow flower spikes.

Uses:

General garden planting. Useful as a fast growing shade plant or windbreak.

Position:

Gossamer Wattle grows best under cool, moist conditions. Thrives in a sunny to partly shaded position in well drained soil. Tolerates clay and wet boggy sites.

Care:

Water well in dry periods and avoid roots from drying out. To maintain compact growth, prune after flowering.

Planting:

Cultivate soil and dig hole twice the width of the container. Place the plant in the hole level with the surrounding ground. Fill around plant with soil firmly and water thoroughly.
