Description:

An evergreen shrub with small, bright green foliage which produces abundant, small, bright red, single flowers with prominent golden yellow stamens on a dense, upright bush. Abundant flowers are produced in winter to spring.

Uses:

Screening, hedging, large containers, espaliers.

Position:

Sunny or partly shaded position. Protect against strong winds. Use well drained, slightly acidic soil. Combine soil with organic matter for best results, prior to planting.

Care:

Keep moist, particularly in hot, dry weather. To keep roots cool, apply mulch with compost, leaf mould or other organic matter. May be slightly trimmed to shape in spring. During spring, feed using a specific camellia fertiliser or a complete organic fert

Planting:

Plant in free draining soil and mix in organic matter and mulch well.
